On Friday March 11th, Rinpoche will give teachings from Niguma’s Amulet Mahamudra, with time to discuss the teachings, allowing Rinpoche to get to know the sangha. This is a clear text, with incisive teachings suitable for anyone.
On Saturday, March 12th, Rinpoche will give the explanation and instructions for two practices: Four Tantric Deities Meditation and Sukhasiddhi Long Life Meditation.
The Four Tantric Deities meditation is a powerful purification practice. Additionally, Rinpoche said he chose it because the deities within the meditation are practiced singly here — in the meditations of Chenrezig, Green Tara, and Mahakala. He felt that learning Four Tantric Deities would enable practitioners to accelerate the exploration and deepening of any of these single meditations.
Rinpoche added the Sukhasiddhi Long Life practice, as this center is named for Sukhasiddhi, one of the two founding wisdom dakinis of the Shangpa lineage.
On Sunday, March 13th, Rinpoche will give the Four Tantric Deities and Sukhasiddhi empowerments in the morning. In the afternoon, Rinpoche will lead us in both practices.
