How your donation helps the Salugara Monastery in 2025

The donations offered to Salugara Monastery are used to support:

Young monks education

Early this year, 10 of our young monks commenced a 3 year study program at His Holiness Dalai Lama's Sarah College for Higher Tibetan Studies in Dharamsala.

The offerings to the Salugara Monastery supports these young monks education including travel to Dharamsala, their admission fees, accommodation, bedding, cushions, blankets, plates, bowls, books, stationery, etc.

New admission of young monks

We will be commencing new admission of young monks to Salugara Monastery later this year,

Where funds will be used to provide food, clothes, books, stationery, supplies, etc., for their wellbeing and education.

Wellbeing of the young monks and resident lamas

Including food, water, gas, clothing and medical bills.

Offerings for the pujas at the Monastery

Daily Tara puja and Six-Armed Mahakala puja

Incense, water offering bowls, butter lamps, tsok, tormas and flowers.

The daily running costs of the Monastery

Including water, electricity, Internet.

Monastery maintenance and repairs

The Monastery is quite old, and things are in constant need of repairs, for example a recent electricity malfunction has caused a safety hazard at the Monastery, and has taken a few weeks to repairs. We also had a roof water leakage which led to flooding in some rooms, which also needed funds for repairs.

We are very grateful for the funds we continue to receive from our sponsors to support Salugara Monastery, our young monks’ education and wellbeing, and resident lamas in their practice and activities.

As we serve H.E. Kalu Rinpoche and the Dharma, may all sentient beings benefit.
