When you have that kind of very profound impact of the Guru Yoga practice that means that you already have a non-fixated state of mind, awareness of everything that is happening around you, internally, externally and so on. And because of that foundation, on the top of that, the “Illusory body and mind” when the teaching initiates, then you even have a greater benefit.
It’s not that you start the “Illusory body and mind” when you are receiving the teaching of the “Illusory body and mind”. “Illusory body and mind” is already there when you do a profound Guru Yoga practice because such an individual who has a great devotion, who clings to having a great devotion cannot be absent from immense compassion. You understand ?
If there is a person who has a great compassion and that person has a great wisdom, that person great wisdom that means that person has no filter of the negativity whatsoever. Therefore seeing the teachings of the Buddhadharma unparalleled to the samsaric things, right? So therefore their state of mind is already beyond the ordinary state of mind, so that is very need to reach first.
I’m not asking you to worship Guru, I’m saying that’s where we need to reach. That’s the concept, that’s the idea we need to build and establish first.
Basically an individual who has great compassion, who claims to be great compassion, naturally has a great devotion.
Then to begin with, first of all, they will not even claim. They will not even claim that they have a great compassion, to begin with. So such individual when they have a great compassion, they always have a great devotion, when they have a great devotion, it goes together. It is because of the selfless realisation, isn’t it? When you have a selfless realisation and then when you establish yourself in that state of mind overtime then the “Illusory body and mind” becomes additional understanding, profound understanding.
You understand ? Does it make sense to you what I am trying to say? Okay.
