Q: Rinpoche, can you share your daily routine, what practice you usually do?
A: My practice is always Six-Armed Mahakala, because it is a combination of guru yoga practice, it is a combination of a deity practice, it is a combination of a protector practice and then it’s also the protector during the stage of the bardo as well. So therefore, I practice Six-Armed Mahakala every day.
So, some time before I eat anything, I make my offering, offer candles, offer incense, and then I make a Three Jewels prayers, prayer to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. And then, after that, then I make a prayer and puja of the Six-Armed Mahakala. Because Six-Armed Mahakala is not just a protector, it’s a protector that serves the purpose as a deity practice, it serves the purpose of the guru yoga practice, it serves the purpose as a protector practice, so it is a combination of all three, and it is clearly written in the text as well.
So that I keep as my personal deity, as my personal protector, as my guru yoga as well. So that has been beneficial for me for a very long time, and will continue to help me until the moment of enlightenment. So that’s that.
