So it is important to be in a meditation posture. Those who sit on the chair and those who sit on the ground, there is no difference as long as you keep your body straight, that is the most important. Keeping your body straight, it doesn’t mean becoming stiff, keep your body and muscles relaxed, but very calm and clear, it is important.
Then also telling yourself “in this very moment, everything is impermanent”. You do not have to think about the reason of “why or this or that”, just think that “everything is impermanent, everything is impermanent, everything is impermanent”, right?

By having that understanding, then you say “I take a refuge to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha”. I take refuge to the Buddha in order to lead by an example and I practice the Dharma to practice the ultimate truth, the universal truth, then I take a refuge to the Sangha to accumulate all my positivity and follow in the Bodhisattva’s footsteps.
Once you have that very clear understanding of your mental state and physical aspect, once that is in place then you visualise the refuge.
After the refuge, repeat few times, you do not have to do so many times, you say:
MA NAM K’a DANG NYAM PÈÏ SÈM TCHÈN TAM TCHÉ
CHAP KUN DU CHI NGO WO LAMA RINPOCHÉ LA CHAP SU CH’I WA LA SO
All Sentient Beings, my mothers, who equal [the extent of] space,
go for refuge to the precious Lama who is the embodiment of all refuges
You do not have to do many times, but each time you say it, mean it sincerely from the heart, that is the most important. Like this:
MA NAM K’a DANG NYAM PÈÏ SÈM TCHÈN TAM TCHÉ
CHAP KUN DU CHI NGO WO LAMA RINPOCHÉ LA CHAP SU CH’I WA LAK SO
I take a refuge to all the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha in order to liberate all the sentient beings, I seek your blessings.
You know, like that.
Once you have repeated this a few times, maybe 10 times, 21 times, whichever depending on the time that you have, once that is completed then you say “I take a refuge to the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha”. After repeating a few times, then visualise the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha has dissolved into a form of nectar, a form of radiance, this dissolves into your body, speech and mind.
Then you meditate in that state for a few minutes.
Once that is done, you say “I received all the blessing to my body, speech and mind”, then right away think that the appearance of the body becomes a little bit like a glass shape, a translucent appearance.
