Kalu Rinpoche | Niguma’s “Amulet Mahamudra” (Morning session – The five jewels)

Khungpo Naldjor, you know, he went to India; of course, he met Sukhasiddhi and Niguma and received lot of teachings.

Niguma, she gave “The five jewels of Niguma”:

(1) we call it “རྩ་བ་ནི་གུ་ཆོས་དྲུག།” (rtsa ba ni gu chos drug), “རྩ་བ་ནི་གུ་ཆོས་དྲུག”(rtsa ba ni gu chos drug) is “The six yogas of Niguma”; “རྩ་བ་ནི་གུ་ཆོས་དྲུག” ( rtsa ba ni gu chos drug): the foundation is “The six yogas of Niguma”,
(2) “སྡོང་པོ་ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ།”(dong po chak gya chen po): the trunk is “The mahamudra”,
(3) “ཡལ་ག་ལམ་ཁྱེར་རྣམ་གསུམ།”(yal kha lam khyer rnam gsum): and then the branches of the tree is the teachings “ཡལ་ག་ལམ་ཁྱེར་རྣམ་གསུམ།”(yal kha lam khyer rnam gsum),
(4) “མེ་ཏོག་མཁའ་སྤྱོད་དཀར་དམར།” (me tog mkha’ spyod dkar dmar): the flowers are “The white dakinis and the red dakinis” “མེ་ཏོག་མཁའ་སྤྱོད་དཀར་དམར།”(me tog mkha’ spyod dkar dmar),
(5) “འབྲས་བུ་འཆི་མེད་འཆུག་མེད།”(bras bu ‘chi med chugs med): the seeds is the infinite practice. So the practice goes more into a subtle, less color and less visualization; anyway, so that’s that.

So that’s the teachings that she has given to Khungpo Naldjor, that (“The six yogas of Niguma”) also includes with (1) heat-generated practice, (2) illusionary body practice, (3) dream yoga practice, (4) powa practice, (5) bardo practice and (6) the clear light practice. So that includes all of that.

Sukhasiddhi also gave exactly the same method of teachings to Khungpo Naldjor, such as “The six yogas of Sukhasiddhi”, so that includes the different version, slightly different version but more or less the same. So that’s that.
