Kalu Rinpoche | Path of Shangpa Kagyu Seminar – Four-Deity Empowerment

The profound practice of “Four Deities Combined” (Tibetan: Lha Shi Dril Drup) is unique to the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage. It came down to Khyungpo Naljor from Rahulagupta. Khyungpo Naljor perfected the practice; it was known that those of his students with good karma could perceive him in the form of the four deities. He then passed the teaching onto Mokchokpa, and the lineage has continued to the present day.

This practice is an elaborate Guru Yoga based on the Guru in the form of Vajradhara with consort, surrounded by Dark Blue Six-Armed Mahakala, Vajrayogini, Two-Armed Chenrezig, and Green Tara. The previous Kalu Rinpoche stated that meditating on:
The Guru brings the highest accomplishment.
The Protector dispels outer obstacles.
Chenrezig enhances compassion and loving-kindness.
Green Tara dispels inner obstacles.
Vajrayogini enhances Bliss and Heat.

We are very fortunate to receive this empowerment from H. E. Kyabjé Kalu Rinpoche, especially as a prelude to The Path of Shangpa Kagyu Seminar.

Due to the short notice, we understand that some of you may not be able to attend the livestream, and we have Rinpoche’s permission that, if you register for the Seminar (via this link: www.shangpakagyu.org/seminar), you will be able to receive the empowerment by viewing the recording once the seminar programme begins.
If you would like to practice the sadhana, we encourage you to register for the Seminar, where recordings of Rinpoche’s sadhana instruction will also be available for members.
