Q: To break from the cycle of illusion, do you have to focus on breaking the emotional attachment to that illusion?
A: The most important is that, you just practice Dharma. And then let the positive effect do its work by itself. Long story short. Don’t have too much idea, ‘OH, I have to detach that. I have to detach that. I have to detach that. ‘ It really doesn’t work. It feels like it works. But then that very idea of ‘I need to detach. I need to detach‘ is also a fixation. It sounds very good, because you give the justification to yourself and say ‘My mind is aware. My mind is aware of the distraction. ‘
So, if there’s any unpleasant emotions, ‘I make a judgement. I make a projection and idea of judgments. That’s bad. That’s not good‘, and so on. So, the more you are fixated with that, you are not truly liberated from the illusion. The liberation from the illusion means simply living in the state of awareness without any fixation or idea or ‘I need to be aware‘ or ‘That is a distraction‘ and so on.
Q: Is God or any God even a bigger illusion?
A: My answer is that all the deities are necessary illusion, in order to overcome our ordinary illusions. And then over the time, that necessary illusion also becomes unnecessary, because of your quality and accumulation of the quality.
Q: Everyone has killed beings consciously or not. What do you suggest we do?
A: My suggestion is to read the sutra, that’s No.1, to renounce all the negativities accumulations. And then along with it, practicing bodhicitta and practicing deity practice over the time.
So, I think that’s it for this time. And I want to say thank you to all our European participants, North American and also the South American Brazil, and also in India and China and Taiwan. You know, so I want to say all the participants come over here, I know, for some of you, it is very inconvenient, because it’s not a weekend. Because on the weekend I have the live teaching. I cannot really do too many things at one time.
