Q: My question about Tsawe-Lama is that some practice that we have to visualise the Lama in front of us. So how to do it without a Lama? A: It’s okay, you know. Like I said, you know, the Guru is not about knowing that person. It’s about you reflecting the truth in your mind.
So you don’t have to be like “so close” you know? It’s not really beneficial at all. People around the Guru have the different interests for themself. Some they have a sincere, you know? Really in wanting to help and really wanting to do good. And some of them have their own personal interest.
So, you know, being too close is not always the solution in your spiritual path. You know?
So for “visualise”, you can visualise, you know, Guru Rinpoche, you can visualise Niguma, and think that is your Guru, and that is good enough! In the traditional text, explanation, it says that: “If you don’t have a Guru, in that very moment, visualise all the great masters of the past, and then that can be also a similar blessing”. That’s what they mention.
