So now when we are starting the session and also during the time of the empowerment, there will be a lot of time where we say “Ah visualise your Guru inseparable with Six-Armed Mahakala” and so on. And at that time you don’t have to think about me personally as a Guru or mentor or anything.
You just visualise your own Guru whoever that you consider as your Guru, you understand? So some of you may not have found “the ideal Guru” and then just say “no this is inseparable as the Buddha and emanation of all the Bodhisattvas” and that’s good enough, okay?
And no need to question yourself “Oh I don’t have a Guru, so whom should I visualise? Should I visualise you or somebody else? Or if I visualize somebody else will it offend Kalu Rinpoche or not?” Don’t worry about that! I will be very happy to be offended. [haha]
You visualise whoever the Guru that you feel connected to it. May be it is your Refuge lama, maybe it is the one empowerment that you received or the teaching that you received a while back, that you feel very connected to or maybe Previous Kalu Rinpoche, you know? Things like that.
So whoever you feel connected to, like His Holiness Dalai Lama or Situ Rinpoche or other great masters. Then you visualise them as inseparable with Six-Armed Mahakala and that’s good enough.
