It’s a little bit like a decompression, if you are not fully decompressed and then cannot really relaxed, even in a physical level. You need to decompress.
Let’s say in New York, everybody works very hard and then you go for 1 week vacation. Out of 1 week: 2 days is a decompression, 2 days is a depression and then you have 2 days of holiday. 2 days of decompression because you realise that you’re in holiday but you cannot feel it. 2 days before going home you feel depressed already because you have to see your colleagues already. And you have only 1 day in between and then other 2 days of traveling here and there. But that is just very ordinary level of decompression.
When I say the Guru Yoga, you really need to decompress.
Because, like for example, you cannot be angry and happy at the same time, it is impossible. You cannot be “I am angry and happy at the same time” how is that even possible ? Emotionally it is impossible. If you have a sense of anger, there is no sense of peace. And if you have a sense of attachment then there’s a sense of fear. So attachment doesn’t exist without fear. The fear is there and there is attachment, losing, wondering. And then when there is an anger, there is a hatred, there is a multiplied projection of your thoughts and paranoia and concerns and more suffering with the thoughts, more suffering with the physical level, more suffering with emotion, more suffering with the thoughts. All that even not exist, your anger projected that! You are here, you are sitting on this chair, but your anger projected all that, already made you miserable.
So we are expert in that. Nobody has to teach us. We are expert in that. But we have to be taught when it comes to the Dharma. The one that introduces us to that is our mentor, our Guru, our teacher. That doesn’t require a blind faith, that just requires you have a commitment to yourself.
So the more you repeat that, what is really needed and necessary, the more you can accelerate and progress further.
