So bringing a little bit more relevant to our topic, so “How to understand the meaning of emptiness to utilise in our daily basis?”.
So therefore, as you see the very sensation of the anger or the very sensation of the pride and that is simply there, and say “I am doing very good, I am doing very amazing, I am the best among them.” So the moment you have the sensation of the emotion, in that very moment then just simply gaze, simply gaze towards the very state of the emotion, simply gaze with no sense of wanting to dissolve or wanting to analyze, none of it. Just simply gaze to the very sense of the emotion that you feel, sense of pride that you feel, just look at the very sensation of the pride itself.
Don’t go into “I am feeling it, I am feeling it, I am feeling it”. When you have a sensation of the pride, when you have a sensation of the anger, just gaze at it, no judgment, just simply gaze. As you gaze the very strength of the illusion of the ego that is fixated with the anger or the pride, that projection of the mind dissolves by itself. Then, due to our habit, that projection of thought, that image of the pride and the jealousy tend to reemerge again and again. The more you are just simply observing, gazing, with no judgment, with no sense of urgency of “I need to conclude, I need to find a quick solution”, none of that. Just simply gaze. Then the very strength of the illusionary mind that is projecting and producing all this image dissolves by itself.
So just like that, that is a one method, the second method is that telling yourself a story what is the consequence?, the very nature of this anger, right?, the very nature of the pride, the very nature of the anger, what is the consequence? Then by responding to it, by doing it, causing the other person more suffering, suffering more within oneself, and explaining to yourself, convincing yourself. That is a little bit more challenging at certain times.
But both of them has to conclude that the very nature of the anger, the very existence of the anger, does not truly exist in a shape or form or image. Therefore the very nature of anger or the jealousy is emptiness. The very appearance of the thought in my mind is emptiness, emptiness, emptiness and then you meditate a little bit.
