Kalu Rinpoche | Wisdom of emptiness in everyday life – there is no anger object

So therefore first challenge that we need to overcome, over the time, is anger. And the definition of the anger, where does the anger exist whether it is in the person whether it is in the voice of the person or whether it is within you. Because whenever you express you are angry, you say “I am angry” so you start with “I am angry” and people misconception with “I need to manage my anger, I am a Buddhist practitioner, I need to manage”. That is the first mistake we make.

I have to manage” as if that there is an identity as anger moving up and down in your body. There is no anger object that is moving up and down in your body neither in the person’s speech nor in the person in front of you.

So this, not just intellectual understanding, but the true acceptance and analyzing that again and again from the bottom of your heart and then the sooner you can overcome the anger. And sometime you will fail miserably still and sometime you overcome.
