Because the whole point of four advice is to change your heart, to convince you. It is all about convincing you. The four basic advice is all about convincing you and also yourself coming to the full understanding, not just deceiving you. Many people they think “Oh, he is trying to manipulate me or deceive me”. It has nothing to do with that, this is not a deception to oneself. This is about learning the truth, the universal truth to oneself, so that when we practice Dharma we can see and hear the true meaning of the teachings, not just the words, but the profound meaning towards ourselves.
So four basic advice is about finding a good conclusive understanding in oneself with such a great clarity so that when you start practicing Dharma, and then you have a sense of connection and appreciation and the karmic bond as well. So that therefore, by the result of that, in many lifetimes after you will reconnect to the Dharma and then until the day of your enlightenment.
