So therefore with a great understanding in oneself, not just like « Ah, yes, impermanence of life, preciousness of life and so on » but rather having a very clear determination saying « Oh, human life is precious because of these conditions ». Not just the precious as a human being but connecting with the Dharma and then the samsara does not have an end to it, so therefore I shall really determine to lead myself in the footsteps of all the Bodhisattvas and reach enlightenment in a single lifetime.
So that sense of contemplation in your mind and meditating a little bit, meditating a little bit, meditating a little bit. So when you read this sentence, right, like an example, the preliminary, the four basic advice about the preliminary, then just meditate with a few sentences. Just do not read it through just in order to reach the prostration preliminary practice, but read it, a few sentences, reflect, think, reflect, think, meditate, read. So this 3 cycles have to be repeated in a very slow pace. And that is what is called “reminding yourself with the four basic advice”.
