This teaching will provide background for both the Four Deities empowerment and the Six Arm Mahakala empowerment; attendance is required for both empowerments.

The ‘Combined Practice of the Four Deities‘ is a guru yoga from the Shangpa tradition that includes Mahakala, Vajrayogini, Chenrezig and Tara in one practice.

The swift-acting, six-arm Awareness Protector Six-Arm Mahakala, is the special protector of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. As the wrathful emanation of Chenrezig, the Wisdom Protector protects the dharma and dharma practitioners by dispelling their obstacles, obscurations and disturbing emotions.
