Connecting to the Prayers and Practices at Salugara Monastery

Connecting with the blessings and power of the practices

Prayers for universal peace and the wellbeing of all sentient beings are practiced daily by the monks at His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche’s Salugara Monastery. These authentic prayers and pujas are done according to the Shangpa Kagyu lineage.

In addition to the daily prayers, special practice intensives are held over a few days during special occasions.

For example, preparations are currently underway in the lead up to Losar (Tibetan New Year). Salugara Monastery will hold their yearly Mahakala Puja (8-11 February) to avert obstacles and arouse Bodhicitta, to accumulate positivity, merit and prosperity for the wellbeing of all sentient beings.

You are welcome to make a tangible connection with the blessings and power of these authentic practices, by contributing towards the offerings for these practices: incense, water offering bowls, butter lamps, tsok, tormas and flowers.

You are also welcome to dedicate the merit and power of these practices towards your aspirations, wellbeing, and activities for the new year 🙏.

With gratitude and best wishes,
Shangpa Kagyu team
