Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche arrived at Palpung Sherabling to receive the Transmissions and Empowerments of the Five Treasuries
The Very Venerable Yangsid Kalu Rinpoche arrived at Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat on September 21, 2008 to receive the ongoing Transmissions and Empowerment’s of the remaining two Treasuries from Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa. This is the first visit following the Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche’s recent completion of his Shangpa Three year retreat. The Rinpoches and Sangha of Palpung Sherabling received the Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche with a traditional welcome. Starting at the main gate of Monastic Seat, the Very Venerable Mingyur Rinpoche, Gangkar Rinpoche, Gyalton Rinpoche, Thutop Rinpoche met the Very Venerable Yangsid Kalu Rinpoche when he arrived. Once in the audience chamber of Chamgom Kenting Tai Situpa, the Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche was received with a traditional tea ceremony after which all the Lamas, monks, nuns and lay devotes received blessings from the Very Venerable Kalu Rinpoche.
