We are individuals who are trying to dissolve our attachment, therefore we are practicing a deity or deities, therefore we are praying to the Buddha Dharma. Why we are seeing the deities superior than ourselves? Because they had recognized the meaning of enlightenment. They have left the negativity of the samsara completely, not even the slightest habit, therefore they are enlightened beings.
Therefore, we should not judge the deities about which deity is best for us. If we are the one who make such judgement, then it means we are not seeing them superior. In fact, in that situation, they are no longer the deities, we are mistaking ourselves as the deities. In addition, if we are the one who judge the Buddha Dharma about what is good for us and what is not good for us, then we are no longer genuine and authentic practitioners.
So it is important when we are receiving an empowerment, or when we are making a prayer or practicing, it is important to keep our mind simple and strong, and truthful, as well as willingness to benefit other sentient beings with prayer and dedication and practice and also with our actions as well. Please keep this pure intention in mind.
