So, and in order to make a good progress in your spiritual journey, you should not seek rapid achievement, you know? Like a rapid goal, you know, like result. You should need, you need to have a sense of patience, you know? And if you have a, and the very existence of the patience in your spirituality, that essence, that strength and that clarity of the patience comes from also seeing the, seeing and reflecting the reality of the suffering.You know? If you don’t see the reality of the suffering and the cause of suffering and all the accumulation of negativity, you will also, if you don’t have that acceptance or acknowledgement in that, and then you will also not have a sense of patience in your spiritual journey either. You know? So therefore, “the rapid result”, that idea has to abandon.
So therefore, you know, squeezing yourself to be patient is also not necessary, you know. So therefore, when you see the truth and then you are naturally patient; you naturally have a courage; you naturally have a sincerity. You know? You don’t need to seek a special quality of “being patient”, you know.
And that also comes aligned with the meaning of the renunciation, as I have said many times before, you know. The meaning of renunciation, it doesn’t mean that you forcefully abandon everything, you realize and then you renounce sincerely from your heart, that is the meaning of renunciation. So the renunciation is not just, and that’s number one.
Number two is the renunciation is not just leaving the object behind, renunciation means anything to do with the illusion from the ego, you know. That is also, to that extent, is a renunciation. You know? So just moving and changing clothes, going place to place that doesn’t make you renounced. You know? If that makes you renounced, we are in a much more happier place.
Like all the teachings of the Buddha is there and then whether we want to progress or not to progress, it’s in our hand, you know. So you have the, the, how can I say, not destiny, but you have the future in your hand, how you want to mold and how you want to create in the path of spirituality, so that’s something you need to understand.
