Dear friends,
On November 15th 2022, a group of seven people entered a three year and three month retreat at Palden Shangpa La Boulaye. There are thirty-four months left in the retreat.
These traditional retreats were established by Jamgön Kongtrül in the 19th century, and have since become an integral part of monastic life.
These intensive practice retreats follow a defined progressive programme, in the Shangpa Kagyu lineage, led by H.E. Kalu Rinpoche.
The retreatants found all the right conditions for deepening and understanding the Dharma.
The daily activity of a retreatant starts at 4 am and lasts until 10 pm.
Although these are very favourable conditions, they still need your financial support for their food and basic expenses.
According to the teachings, the person who financially supports a retreatant accumulates the same merit as the one who practices.
