The annual exams of the young monks is taking place over 10 days to review their progress in their studies.
The monks are tested in the following subjects: Tibetan Grammar, The memorization of texts and vocabulary of Tibetan Scripture, The making of Tormas according to the daily Shangpa Lineage pujas, Debate and analytical reasoning, and Spoken Tibetan language. These examinations generally happen in the Fall and sometimes again in the Spring.
We are happy to report that all the young monks are doing well in their studies and will be of great benefit for others in the future as Shangpa Lamas.
Your continued support has made all of this possible and all the Lamas and monks are deeply grateful.
