All the lamas and monks of the Salugara monastery joyfully celebrated the birthday of His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche on September 17, 2019. On the 16th, a special long Mahakala puja was held for Rinpoche. On the 17th, special ceremonies were held to celebrate his birthday with prayers for his long life and continued activities. A beautiful cake was shared amongst everyone with the image of a horse on the top in honor of Rinpoche’s birth animal according to the Tibetan calendar.
