So it’s very important that before you receive empowerment, try to study the empowerment first, try to gather some information about the empowerment, the history of the empowerment, the lineage of the empowerment, the particular, the objects of the deities, and the appearance of the deity, and the syllable of the deity, the colour of the deity, and then how many different protectors around it, how many small deities around it. Is it a five deity, is it a four deities, how many of them and what are the colors they look like.
So try to investigate, and try to have that understanding first before you going ahead saying “Oh, I want to do receive empowerment” so that if you better understand first, then at least little bit, you don’t have to read the whole book, but at least just some of the brief understanding, then when you receive empowerment, you will find, first of all, with the simultaneous visualization, you will receive a blessing, based on your own understanding of the clarity and visualization that you have created. And then based upon that, then the seed of the blessing is planted, that is what you call as an empowerment.
The empowerment is simply an instruction, teachings, and a visualization that is done together between the teacher and the student. Together. That is how you can say that “I have received the empowerment”. So all the way until the dedication.
