མ་ནམ་མཁའ་དང་མཉམ་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆིའོ། །
ma nam kha dang nyampé semchen tamché lama sangye rinpoche la kyab su chi o
All mother sentient beings as infinite as space take refuge in the Guru, the precious Buddha.
སངས་རྒྱས་ཆོས་དང་དགེ་འདུན་རྣམས་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆིའོ། །
sangye chö dang gendün nam la kyab su chi o
In the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, we take refuge.
བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་མཁའ་འགྲོའི་ཚོགས་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆིའོ། །
lama yidam khandrö tsok la kyab su chi o
In the assembly of gurus, yidam deities and dākinīs, we take refuge.
རང་སེམས་སྟོང་གསལ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆིའོ། །
rangsem tongsal chö kyi ku la kyab su chi o
In the dharmakāya, the inseparable emptiness and clarity of our own minds, we take refuge.

The full result of keeping, teaching, or reading
འཆང་བ་དང་ནི་སྟོན་ཏམ་ཀློག་ན་ཡང་། །
changwa dang ni tön tam lok na yang
This Prayer of Aspiration to Good Actions
དེ་ཡི་རྣམ་པར་སྨིན་པའང་སངས་རྒྱས་མཁྱེན། །
dé yi nampar minpa sangye khyen
Is known to the buddhas alone:
བྱང་ཆུབ་མཆོག་ལ་སོམ་ཉི་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག །
changchub chok la somnyi majé chik
Have no doubt: supreme enlightenment will be yours!
འཇམ་དཔལ་དཔའ་བོས་ཇི་ལྟར་མཁྱེན་པ་དང་། །
jampal pawö jitar khyenpa dang
Just as the bodhisattva Mañjuśrī attained omniscience,
ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོ་དེ་ཡང་དེ་བཞིན་ཏེ། །
kuntuzangpo deyang dezhin té
And Samantabhadra too
དེ་དག་ཀུན་གི་རྗེས་སུ་བདག་སློབ་ཕྱིར། །
dedak kün gyi jesu dak lob chir
All these merits now I dedicate
དགེ་བ་འདི་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་རབ་ཏུ་བསྔོ། །
gewa didak tamché rabtu ngo
To train and follow in their footsteps.
ཐབས་མཁས་ཐུགས་རྗེས་ཤཱཀྱའི་རིགས་སུ་འཁྲུངས། །
tabkhé tukjé shakyé rik su trung
With skilful means and compassion, you were born in the Śākya clan,
གཞན་གྱིས་མི་ཐུབ་བདུད་ཀྱི་དཔུང་འཇོམས་པ། །
zhen gyi mitub dü kyi pung jompa
Unconquerable by others, you vanquished Māra’s hordes,
གསེར་གྱི་ལྷུན་པོ་ལྟ་བུར་བརྗིད་པའི་སྐུ། །
ser gyi lhünpo tabur jipé ku
Your physical form resplendent, like a mountain of gold.
ཤཱཀྱའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ། །
shakyé gyalpo khyö la chaktsal lo
To you, the King of the Śākyas, I pay homage!
གང་གིས་དང་པོར་བྱང་ཆུབ་ཐུགས་བསྐྱེད་ནས། །
gang gi dangpor changchub tukkyé né
You I shall praise, who first awakened the mind of enlightenment,
བསོད་ནམས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཚོགས་གཉིས་རྫོགས་མཛད་ཅིང༌། །
sönam yeshe tsok nyi dzok dzé ching
Then completed the accumulations of merit and wisdom,
དུས་འདིར་མཛད་པ་རྒྱ་ཆེན་འགྲོ་བ་ཡི། །
dü dir dzepa gyachen drowa yi
And now in this age, through the vast sway of your actions,
མགོན་གྱུར་ཁྱོད་ལ་བདག་གིས་བསྟོད་པར་བགྱི། །
gön gyur khyö la dak gi töpar gyi
Have become the lord and protector of living beings.
